Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
LearnTube exists to help you learn — not to monetize your attention or your data. This policy explains exactly what we store, why, and the controls you have.
What we collect
Your email address and name (for your account), the YouTube URLs you convert, your learning activity (courses, quiz results, review schedule), and standard security logs (IP address, sign-in times). We also compute an anonymous device signal — a one-way hash — used solely to prevent free-trial abuse.
How your data is protected
All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Sessions use HTTP-only, SameSite cookies that JavaScript cannot read. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored or logged in plain text. Access to production data is restricted to the account owner.
Payments
Card details are entered on our payment provider's secure checkout (or validated locally in demo mode). Full card numbers never reach or transit LearnTube servers — we store only the last four digits for your receipts.
Cookies
We use one essential session cookie to keep you signed in and one device identifier used for abuse prevention. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
Your rights
You may export your courses at any time (Markdown, HTML, JSON, Anki), correct your profile information from Settings, and request full deletion of your account and all associated data.
Contact
For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the operator via the email address on your billing receipt. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
